Preserves
The imagery of Preserves is drawn from the hunting trophies the artist encountered during an artists residency in Hungary. They impart a sense both of triumph and decay. The paper antlers are grown all out of proportion, past utility and have taken on the shape of the jars that contain them. They suggest a past that is too big to be absorbed by the present.
